Trip to Solan, Himachal Pradesh

Recently I went on a 2-day vacation to Solan, Himachal Pradesh.

It was an 8-hour drive via NH 44 and a total distance of 305 kilometers, Solan is a town in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh It is located 45.5 kilometers south of Shimla. The place is named after the Hindu goddess Shoolini Devi. Every year in June, a fair venerating the goddess is held, featuring a 3-day Mela at the central Thodo ground. Solan was the capital of the erstwhile princely state, Baghat.

I booked my accommodation at Nomads Adventure Camp, Solan it a beautiful and small property mainly famous for camping. Many Social Media Geeks come here and stay in the rooftop camps in their cars. This place is situated near Shimla Highway, one has to take a detour of approx 4 kilometers to reach the campsite.

Adjoining the camp there is a river, Riva Waterfall, and Heritage Park which are the main attractions of Solan.
One must surely visit this place to attain mental peace and to do mediation among the hills surrounded by trees, rivers, and waterfall.
