Introduction

My experience with Hotel Umang Residency – The Corporate Rooms in Sector 62 was extremely disappointing. What should have been a straightforward hotel booking turned into a frustrating situation involving the refusal to provide car parking, an unsatisfactory response from the hotel management, and conflicting information from MakeMyTrip customer support regarding my cancellation and refund.

I am sharing my personal experience to inform other travellers, particularly those who travel by car and need clarity about parking facilities before booking accommodation.

Hotel Umang Residency – The Corporate Rooms in Sector 62 review highlighting car parking issues and a MakeMyTrip booking complaint.

1. Hotel Parking Issue: Asked to Park My Car on the Roadside

After booking the hotel through MakeMyTrip, I contacted the property directly to confirm whether car parking was available.

The hotel staff told me that they would not provide car parking and that I would have to park my car on the roadside.

Naturally, I asked whether the hotel would take responsibility for my vehicle’s safety if I had to leave it on the roadside. The staff refused to accept responsibility.

What made the conversation even more disappointing was the response I received when I called the hotel’s telephone number. The staff member told me:

“You don’t gave money for car parking.”

This response was unacceptable to me. My concern was not simply whether parking was free or paid. I wanted to know whether the hotel offered a suitable parking arrangement and what options were available for protecting my vehicle.

A car is a valuable asset. Guests travelling with their own vehicles should not have to discover after booking that they may need to leave their cars on the roadside without any assurance from the hotel.

If parking is unavailable or requires an additional charge, that information should be communicated clearly so customers can make an informed decision before booking.

2. Disappointing Behaviour From the Hotel Manager

The hotel manager’s response did not resolve my concerns about parking or vehicle safety.

I expected the manager to explain the hotel’s parking arrangements professionally and suggest an alternative, if available. Instead, I was left feeling that the hotel was unwilling to take responsibility for helping me address a legitimate concern.

I understand that some hotels may not have dedicated parking facilities. However, a lack of parking is one issue; the way a customer’s concern is handled is another.

The hotel should clearly communicate its facilities and limitations before customers commit to a reservation. Guests should not have to spend their time contacting customer support and requesting cancellation because an essential practical requirement cannot be met.

3. My Complaint to MakeMyTrip Customer Support

After speaking with the hotel, I contacted MakeMyTrip customer support to explain the parking problem and seek a resolution.

I spoke with two representatives, Himanshu and Aman. Both communicated with the hotel regarding my complaint.

During these interactions, I was asked to disconnect the call and was assured that I would receive a callback. However, I did not receive the promised callbacks.

This wasted approximately 30–40 minutes of my time and added to my frustration.

I want MakeMyTrip to investigate these conversations and answer the following questions:

  • Why was I assured that I would receive a callback when no callback arrived?
  • What action did the representatives take after speaking with the hotel?
  • Do the call recordings and support logs confirm the assurances made to me?

I expect the company to review the relevant recordings rather than dismissing my complaint without investigating what happened.

4. Conflicting Information About Booking Cancellation and Refund

The cancellation issue became even more confusing when I contacted MakeMyTrip customer support again later that evening.

During a subsequent call at approximately 8:50–8:56 PM on 28 October 2026, another representative informed me that a conference call had taken place with the hotel manager and that the manager had agreed to approve the cancellation.

Based on this communication, I expected my cancellation request to be resolved.

However, I subsequently received a call informing me that the cancellation had been denied.

This contradiction is the main reason I am asking for a proper investigation.

If the manager had agreed to approve the cancellation, why was I later told that it had been denied? If no approval had been given, why was I told otherwise?

I need MakeMyTrip to review the conference call and provide a written explanation of the actual decision and the reason for the contradictory communications.

I will upload relevant screenshots to document the information available to me regarding this incident.

5. What Travellers Should Know Before Booking This Hotel

Based on my experience, I recommend that travellers planning to stay at Hotel Umang Residency – The Corporate Rooms in Sector 62 confirm the following directly before making a reservation:

  • Whether car parking is available at the property.
  • Whether parking is complimentary or requires an additional payment.
  • Whether the parking facility is on-site or off-site.
  • What alternative arrangements are available if the hotel cannot accommodate a vehicle.
  • What the cancellation policy says if an important facility is unavailable.

These questions are particularly important for guests travelling by car who do not want to leave their vehicles on the roadside.

My experience does not establish that every guest will encounter the same problem, but it demonstrates why confirming parking arrangements in advance is worthwhile.

6. What I Expect From the Hotel and MakeMyTrip

I am requesting a fair resolution and a transparent explanation of the incident.

My expectations are:

  1. An explanation from the hotel regarding its parking arrangements and the response I received when I asked about vehicle safety.
  2. An investigation into the hotel manager’s communication with MakeMyTrip.
  3. A review of the calls involving Himanshu and Aman, including their promised callbacks.
  4. Verification of the conference call and the cancellation decision communicated to me.
  5. A fair resolution of my cancellation and full-refund request, taking into account the circumstances and the conflicting information provided.
  6. A written response from MakeMyTrip explaining its findings and the action taken.

I also request that the relevant call recordings, conference call records, booking details, and customer support logs be preserved for the investigation.

Conclusion

My experience with Hotel Umang Residency – The Corporate Rooms in Sector 62 on 28 October 2026 was disappointing because of the parking issue, the response from the hotel staff, and the subsequent confusion over my cancellation request.

The statement, “You don’t gave money for car parking,” was particularly frustrating because it did not address my concern about where I could safely park my car.

The experience became more stressful when MakeMyTrip representatives promised callbacks that never arrived and I subsequently received conflicting information about cancellation approval.

I believe customers deserve clear information about hotel facilities, respectful communication, and a reliable process for resolving booking disputes.

I hope Hotel Umang Residency and MakeMyTrip investigate this matter and provide a fair resolution.
